Faye and Andrew’s Britt-Georgian Bay Wedding on July 15th combined their love for each other with their passion for the natural beauty of the Britt – Georgian Bay area.
Faye and her family had been coming to the Britt area since Faye was a little girl and she spent her childhood summers exploring the rugged beauty of the area. Andrew visited the area as a guest one summer and before long the couple knew they belonged together.
After exchanging their wedding vows at Holy Family Church in Britt we did family pictures near the church and Faye and Andrew took a few minutes to share their excitement through a phone call to Andrew’s parents in the Ukraine.
I had done a walk about with Faye a few months earlier and we had located spots for the post ceremony pictures. These incorporated spots on and near the church grounds, a nearby spot where Faye and Andrew has shared a first kiss, and the confluence of the Magnetawan River and Georgian Bay. Looking out across Byng Inlet boaters can head right up the North Channel or left, down the South Channel and with both routes providing the striking, rugged, natural beauty that typifies Georgian Bay.
After a few romantic nights at a cabin over looking the Pickerel River Faye and Andrew were back home in Southern Ontario when I spoke with Faye a few days after their Georgian Bay wedding. When Faye told me they were set to head out in a few days for a week of camping on the islands on Georgian Bay out from Britt and Byng Inlet it was no surprise to me. A perfect place for a perfect couple.
Relaxing after the ceremony.
A giggle after a kiss for the camera!
